Florence E. Beall, 77

DOVER - Florence E. Beall of Dover, formerly of Cambridge, Md., died April 19, 2007, in her home. She was 77.

Mrs. Beall was born on April 5, 1930, in Laurel, Md., daughter of the late John and Florence Barnes Castle.

She was a U.S. Marine, obtaining the rank of corporal.

She lived in Howard County, moved to Cambridge, Md. in 1980 and since September of 2004 in Dover. Mrs. Beall was a member of the Women's Marine Association.

She enjoyed dancing, quilting, knitting and traveling, but above all her family.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, George Castle and Richard Castle; and two sisters, Marjorie Barton and Ethel Cushing.

Mrs. Beall is survived by her husband of 54 years, Richard "Jerry" Beall; two daughters, Deborah "Gail" Latta of Oxford, N.C. and Amy Kathleen Griffith and her husband, Jim of Queen Anne, Md.; two sons, Andrew F. Beall and his wife, Sue of Columbia, Md. and Jeffery P. Beall and his wife, Karen of Centreville, Md.; a brother, Jack Castle of Laurel, Md.; nine grandchildren, Tammy Smith, Melissa Griffith, Daniel Smith, Billie Latta, William Griffith, Tyler Beall, Laura Johnson, Tommy Beall, Sonya Beall and Danny Johnson; and two great-grandchildren, Dylan Burl and Ivy Latta.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, Md., where friends may call on Monday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.

Burial will be in Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Bear.
