DOVER — A 32-year-old Camden woman was arrested on burglary and other related charges following an incident Thursday, Delaware State Police spokeswoman Master Cpl. Heather Pepper said.
According to police, Kayla R. Campbell began hitting a front door until it was damaged and forced open, then entered the residence on Port Mahon Road at approximately 7:59 p.m. She had arrived at the home to locate an acquaintance she believed to be inside, police said.
Once inside the home, Ms. Campbell pushed a 37-year-old female homeowner and began yelling for the acquaintance, Cpl. Pepper said. Ms. Campbell kicked in a bedroom door and damaged it, as well, according to police.
Ms. Campbell fled the residence after learning police were called, authorities said. She was later located and charged with first-degree burglary, offensive touching and criminal mischief. Ms. Campbell was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 7, Dover, and released on her own recognizance.
