DOVER - Dover residents Deshawn Watson, 31, and Tadrienne Peck, 30, were arrested for weapons and drug dealing charges following an administrative search Tuesday, authorities said.
Dover police spokesperson Master Cpl. Ryan Schmid said the investigation began at approximately 7:19 p.m., when officers assisted Delaware Probation and Parole with an administrative search at an apartment in the 100 block of South New Street belonging to Watson. Officers contacted Mr. Watson and Ms. Peck inside of the residence and they were taken into custody without incident, police said.
As a result of the administrative search, police said, a Ruger 9mm handgun, that was reported stolen, and approximately 29 grams of crack cocaine were located.
Ms. Peck was charged with possession counts including firearm by person prohibited, with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a Tier 3 quantity, and possession of a controlled substance in a Tier 3 quantity, along with receiving stolen firearm, and second-degree conspiracy. She was released on $41,500 unsecured bail.
Mr. Watson was charged with possession counts including firearm by person prohibited, with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a Tier 3 quantity, and controlled substance in a Tier 3 quantity, and receiving stolen firearm, and second-degree conspiracy. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $41,500 cash bail.
