Fig Tree Band opening for Cartoon Christmas Trio Friday in Dover

DOVER — The Fig Tree Band returns to the downtown Dover’s historic Schwartz Center Friday night with doors opening at 6:45.

The four-piece, hometown band, including Delaware State University students Jeremiah and Eli August, will provide a lively 45-minute jazz-fusion pre-show, followed by live Vince Guaraldi-inspired jazz and beloved tunes from “A Charlie Brown Christmas” performed by the regionally acclaimed Cartoon Christmas Trio, to begin at 7:30.

Tickets will be available at the door and online.

They are $12 per adult and $6 for Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce, Dover Air Force Base, Delaware State University, and Rotary members and their guests (all with valid I.D.) Children 12 and under free.

The Schwartz Center is at 226 S. State St., Dover.

Delaware State University, and Delaware Division of the Arts, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts, provided funding to support this event.
