Ex-Tower Hill employee indicted for child pornography in Wilmington

Posted

WILMINGTON — A former Tower Hill School director of admissions arrested in April has been indicted on charges arising from a child pornography investigation, the Delaware Department of Justice announced Monday.

William Ushler, 53, of Wilmington, was arrested and charged April 19 by members of the Justice Department and the Delaware State Police assigned to the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Program. At that time, he was charged with five felony counts of dealing in child pornography.

On Monday, Mr. Ushler was indicted by a New Castle County grand jury on the original five charges, plus an additional two felony counts of sexual solicitation of a child.

During the post-arrest examination of seized devices, detectives discovered communication between Mr. Ushler and another subject, purported to be a juvenile, Justice officials said. Mr. Ushler asked that person to provide visual depictions of themselves engaged in prohibited sexual acts, investigators added.

The juvenile was located outside of Delaware, and the state has no information that Mr. Ushler had any similar communication with children from Delaware or associated with Tower Hill.

Anyone who may have been a victim or has information about this case should contact the Child Predator Task Force at 302-739-2030.
