Evelyn Ann Freeman, 74
Evelyn Ann Freeman passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Kent General Hospital. Evelyn was born on June 13, 1947, in Dover, daughter of the late Robert G. Taylor and Elva M. Taylor.
Evelyn graduated from Dover High School, Class of 1966. She worked for her father at Taylor's Garage in the office before getting married to Robert L. Freeman on April 10, 1970. Evelyn was a stay-at-home mom until her daughter went to high school. She worked for Discover Card Payment Processing Center for 15 years before retiring due to cancer. She was a member of the Little Creek Methodist Church before moving to Harrington in 1999.
Evelyn loved line dancing, crocheting, and gardening. She enjoyed fishing on the Delaware Bay with her father in her younger years. She also enjoyed making sure her flowerbeds were in full bloom.
Evelyn is survived by her husband of 51 years, Robert L. of Harrington, her daughter, Heather A. Mounts and her two grandchildren, Dustin J. and Travis C. Mounts, also of Harrington.
Services will be held at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Rd (Rt.10), Dover, DE 19901, on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family may visit starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery, 558 N State Street, Dover following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donating to the Felton Community Fire Company, 9 E Main Street, Felton DE 19943 or Trinity United Methodist Church, 63 Commerce Street, Harrington DE 19952.
