MILTON - Ethel E. Smith passed away on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013 at her home. Ethel was born in Yaedon, Pa., the daughter of the late James and Jeanette (Flower) Fleming. She was a homemaker, she loved to clean if she wasn't cleaning she wasn't happy. She also loved flowers & her yard. She had beautiful azaleas and roses. She always donated to as many charities as possible, wanting to help people. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Smith, Sr. in 2004; and step-son, Raymond Smith. She is survived by her son, Ralph Smith, Jr. and wife Paula of Ellendale; grandson, Ralph Smith III and Tammy Reed and sons, Paul and Christopher of Milton; six step-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013 in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton, where friends may call after noon. Interment will be in Henlopen Memorial Park, Milton.
