Estella Marie Joseph

DAGSBORO - Estella Marie Joseph, 78, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. She was born in Georgetown, the daughter of the late Lee and Margaret (Foskey) Headley. She was a data processor for Sussex County for 25 years. She was a volunteer at Delaware Hospice and a member of A.A.R.P. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Joseph in 1997; son, George Allen Joseph; and step-daughter, Mildred Murray. She is survived by her daughter, Charlene Lynam and husband Dan, of Little River, S.C.; two step-children, Connie Layton and husband Blaine, of Dagsboro and Wanda Joseph- Pimentel, of Millsboro; sister, Jean W. Warrington and husband Cordia, of Georgetown; brother, Robert Headley and wife Charlotte, of Seaford; two grandchildren and three great- grandchildren. A funeral service was held 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015 in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, where friends could call after 11 a.m. Interment was in Millsboro Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
