Ernestine (Cucinotta) Grande, 93

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Ernestine Cucinotta Grande, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009, in Haverford Nursing Home. She was 93. Born Feb. 28, 1915 in Philadelphia, Pa., she would have been 94. She was the daughter of the late Santo and Concetta Crisafulli Cucinotta. She was a homemaker who previously worked in the tailor industry. Her husband, Domenick, whom she married Dec. 1, 1941, died Oct. 20, 1986. She is also preceded in death by two older sisters, Mary DiCamilo and Josephine Mangano. Mrs. Grande is survived by three children, Salvatore and his wife Angela, of Moorestown, N.J., Santo (Sandy) and his wife Lisa, of Easton, and Rachelle Nocito and her husband Peter, of Havertown, Pa.; seven grandchildren, including Domenick and Mary Kate Grande, of Easton; and two sisters, Millie D'Antuono, of Silver Spring, and Molly Marciante, of Philadelphia, Pa. Following a mass of Christian burial 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009 at Stella Maris Church, 9th and Bigler Streets, Philadelphia, Pa. Burial will be at Holy Cross Mausoleum in Philadelphia. Donations may be made in Mrs. Grande's memory to Saints Peter and Paul Elementary School, 900 High Street, Easton, MD; or Delmarva Community Services Senior Meals Program, P.O. Box 637, Cambridge, MD.
