DOVER - Ernest S. Harding, 102, of Dover, formerly of Houston, Del., died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014 at Kent General Hospital. Mr. Harding was born in Wrightstown, N.J. the son of the late Ralph and Joanna Harding. Ernest was a veteran of the U. S. Army Air Corp serving during W.W. II. He worked as a Rural Mail Carrier, retiring after many years of service. He was a Life Member of the Houston Fire Company, a member of the Blue Hen V.F.W. Post # 6483 of Milford and the Rural Letter Carriers Association. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Hester (Robinson) Harding. He is survived by twin sisters, Dorothy Kohl, of Newtown Square, Pa. and Elizabeth Bohn, of Cherry Hill, N.J.; nieces, Cynthia Smyth of Drexel Hill, Pa., Kathy Snyder, of Equinunk, Pa., Patricia Davis, of Kennett Square, Pa., and Sharon Heath of Pennsburg, Pa.; and nephews Chant Bohn, of Philadelphia, Pa., Eric Bohn, of Collingswood, N.J., Richard Kohl, of Longmont, Colo., and Michael Kohl, of Athol, Idaho; and his beloved friends, Anna Lee Minner and Preston Minner. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014 at the McKnatt, Carpenter & Baker Funeral Home, 50 Commerce Street, Harrington where friends may call from 1 - 2 p.m. Burial with military honors will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Milford - Harrington Highway, Harrington. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
