Gonzalez, 16 GEORGETOWN - Erica Jennifer Gonzalez, 16, passed away peacefully on Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, as a result of cancer. Erica was born in Lewes, Del. on May 3, 1996. Erica finished the ninth grade at Sussex Central High School last year. Erica grew up attending La Casita's Homework Program and for the past 2 years, she loved volunteering as a teacher's assistant. She enjoyed the beach, shopping, and most of all, spending time with her brothers and sister at home. Erica is survived by her mother, Micaela and her stepfather Cruz; her older brother, Antoni; her younger brother, Leonardo; her younger sister, Karen; and her baby brother, Jose. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. at Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market Street, Georgetown, Delaware. Funeral Services and Burial are private.
