Emma R. Seeney

DOVER - Emma R. Seeney, went home to be with the Lord Monday Aug. 27, 2012. Mrs. Seeney was born May 27, 1922, in Bridgeton, N.J. to the late Nathaniel Cuff and Mary Pierce Cuff. She had worked at Van Holten Pickle Factory until they closed, then she worked as an attendant at the laundry mat in Cheswold for years until her retirement. Mrs. Seeney was a member of the Nanticoke and Lenni – Lenape Tribe of N.J., she loved going to the Pow-Wow every year and enjoyed camping with her daughter Penny and her husband Floyd and two best friends Mr. and Mrs. Bennett of Dover. She loved to shop till she dropped and loved her clothes and shoes, cooking, baking. Mrs. Seeney loved going to church before she became ill. She was a loving and amazing woman. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sisters, Glendora Pierce, Serena Carter and Lucy Pierce; brothers, Linwood and Chester Cuff. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, William Seeney of Dover; daughters, Patricia Pierce of Fairton, N.J., Joyce Sammons and her husband Edward of Dover, Dorothy Sammons and Charles of Milford, Penny Stafford and her husband Floyd of Millington, Md, and Bianca Tribbits of Camden, Del. whom she helped raise like her own daughter; sons, Wayne Mosley and his wife Sandra of Bridgeton, N.J., Linwood Mosley and his wife Christina of Little Haven, Del., William Seeney, Jr. and girlfriend Gail of Dover; sisters, Hester Ridgeway of Bridgeton, N.J., Alta Worley of Cheswold, Del.; brothers, Morris Cuff of Bridgeton, N.J., Nathan Cuff of, Texas; and a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great -great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at noon Friday, Aug. 31, 2012, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt. 10), Dover. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon. Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park. Letters of condolence may be sent and the guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
