DAGSBORO - Mrs. Emily "Rose" Hill passed away at home, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 after a short battle with cancer. Rose was born in Wilmington, on April 16, 1964, to the late Joseph Steele, Jr and Sylvia Kusmaul Steele-Olson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded by one sister, Sylvia Jane Steele. Rose was employed as a baker with G & E Hocker's retail grocery. Rose loved her family, friends and pets. She loved to celebrate holidays where you would always find her home decorated. She was avid fan of the Baltimore Orioles, Ravens, and NASCAR's Jeff Gordon. Rose will be dearly missed. She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Glen R. Hill, of Dagsboro; son, William "Billy" Steele and his companion, Payton Bare, Millsboro; stepson, Glen Hill, II (Courtnay), of Fruitland, Md.; stepdaughters, Kim Hill, of Millsboro, and Stephanie Hill (Aaron), of Galena, Md.; sister, Janet McGuire (Charles), of Greenwood; brother, Joseph Steele, III, of Greenwood; and stepfather, Arnold "Ollie" Olson, of Wyoming; nephew and godson, Ernie Lemp, Jr. (Casey), of Okla.; three grandchildren, Paige, Teagan and Gabriel; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; her canine (Rambo and Pugsley) and feline friends (Leo, Lola and Esme). A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 10, 2016, at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington Street, Millsboro. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will immediately follow at the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Seaford. In memory of Emily Rose Hill, donations may be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE, 19963. Condolences may be made via www.watsonfh.com.
