Elsie Mae Spicer Gibson

Spicer Gibson, 87 HARRINGTON - Elsie Mae Spicer Gibson passed away on Nov. 4, 2012, at Jackson Madison General Hospital, in Jackson, Tenn. Elsie was born Dec. 19, 1924 in Bluefield, W.Va., to the late Fred and Maggie Jessup Dudley. She was a homemaker, who raised nine children, and devoted her time to cooking, cleaning, and taking care of her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John Crockett Spicer in 1984; and her daughter, Phyllis Ann Russum. Mrs. Gibson is survived by her husband of 26 years, Duanne; five sons, Kenneth Spicer and wife Elsie of Middletown, Del., Maynard Spicer and wife Joyce of Harrington, Del., Tracy Spicer and wife Mary Beth of Dover, Michael Spicer and wife Tammy of Smyrna, Del., and Vincent Spicer of Tenn.; three daughters, Shelby Lister of Lewes, Del., Patricia O'Connor and husband Michael of Malabar, Fla., and Deborah Brigham and husband James of Malabar, Fla.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at noon on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford St., Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guest book signed at torbertfuneral.com.
