SMYRNA - Ellis Joseph "Jay" Pepeta, Jr. passed away Monday, Dec. 2, 2013 at Kent General Hospital. Mr. Pepeta was born Feb. 28 1954 in Wilmington, the son of the late Ellis, Sr. and Marge Pepeta. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. Jay loved animals, fishing, and music. He is survived by his son, Tony Pepeta and his wife, Lee; and his mother, Robin Pepeta; his brother, Gerry and his wife, Trish; and their children. A visitation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013 from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 South Main Street Smyrna, DE. Memorial services will begin at 6 p.m. Burial will be private. Condolence letters may be sent by visiting www.fariesfuneralhome.com.
