FEDERALSBURG, Md. - Ellis B. Meek of Federalsburg, Md., died Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at the Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Md. He was 57 years old. Born in Dover, Del., Mr. Meek was the son of Shelby Jean Meek of Seaford, Del. and the late Robert James Meek. He had been a truck driver for Shufeldt Sand and Gravel in E. New Market, Md. and Horsey's Trucking in Seaford. In addition to his mother, Mr. Meek is survived by his wife, Barbara S. Meek of Federalsburg; a son, Richard H. Meek of Seaford; three step-daughters, Katie Evans of Federalsburg, Jasmine Cruz of Federalsburg, and Elizabeth Reid of Bremen, Ga.; and a half sister, Janie Ziegler of Union, Missouri. He was predeceased by two brothers, James Thomas Pilkenton, Jr. and Gary Thomas Pilkenton; and one sister, Melissa Ann Denny. A memorial service will be announced at a later time.
