Ella M. Tucker

MILFORD - Ella M. Tucker passed away Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. Ella was born on April 28, 1925, daughter of the late Edward J. and Sarah L. (Dadds) Clendaniel. Mrs. Tucker owned and operated Chandelier Fashions, a bridal and dress shop, in Milford for 20 years, retiring in 1983. She enjoyed china painting, was a charter member of the Ellendale Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and attended the Ellendale United Methodist Church. The family wishes to thank Dr. Tony Zarraga for his compassionate care and kindness to Ella over the years. In addition to her parents, Ella was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur "Dick" W. Tucker. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Bonnie and Robert E. Walls of Milford and Sandy Bowden of Salisbury, Md.; two brothers; six sisters; four grandchildren, Bobby Walls and his wife Carol, Lisa Griffith and her husband Jim, Ty Bowden and his wife Linda, and Scott Bowden and his fiancée Amanda; and nine great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Schurman, Skip Schurman, Hunter Walls, Courtney Mosley, Tyler Bowden, Clay Bowden, Jamie Bowden, Brooklyn Bowden, and Chloe Smith. Services will be held at noon on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012 at Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave, Milford, where friends may call one hour prior. Burial will follow the service in St. Johnstown Cemetery, Greenwood. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE, 19963 or to the Ellendale Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, 302 Main St, PO Box 5, Ellendale, DE, 19941.
