SEAFORD - Ella Archer Hurd formerly of Dover, passed away Tuesday Nov. 6, 2012 at Genesis Eldercare, Seaford. She was born on May 28, 1915 in Millington, Md. to the late Charles and Sarah Webester Archer. She was a member of Cheswold United Methodist Church and Modern Maturity Center in Dover. She worked at Playtex in Dover for 12 years. She enjoyed sewing and working in the yard. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fletcher C. Hurd; brothers, Charles Archer and Webb Archer; and sister, Marie Robinson. She is survived by her nephew and his wife, Harvey Jay and Kathy Archer, of Dover; niece and her husband, Rose Marie and Harry Willey of Bridgeville; great nephew, Jay Archer; great nephew, David Conley; great-great nephew, Cody Conley; and many more nephews and nieces. Remembrance Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012 at Trader Funeral Home in Dover, DE. Burial will be at the Glennwood Cemetery, Smyrna, DE. Rev. Milton Kemp will be officiating.
