Elizabeth Ann Harding

REIDS GROVE - Elizabeth Ann Harding, 93, of Reids Grove, died Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at her residence. Born March 29, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Hoffman and Katherine Miller Hoffman. She was a graduate of East New Market High School and had previously taught Sunday School at Reids Grove United Methodist Church. She was a member of Souls Harbor Church of God in Cambridge where she participated in Ladies Ministries and was a former member of the choir. She is survived by three sons, Howard Harding of Brookview, Robert Harding and his wife Kay of Reids Grove, and James Harding and his wife Jean of Reids Grove; two daughters, Joan Foxwell and her husband Douglas of Cambridge and Ann McCready and her husband James of Reids Grove; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Collison Harding who died January 21, 1989; a great-grandson; and 10 brothers and sisters. Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Souls Harbor Church of God in Cambridge where the family received friends one hour prior to the service. Pastor Edward King and Pastor Robert McCready, her grandson, officiated. Interment followed in East New Market Cemetery. Her grandsons, Howard Lee Harding, Brian Harding, James Harding, Jr., Richard Harding, Jeffery Harding, and Brad McCready served as pallbearers. Donations in memory of Mrs. Harding may be made to Souls Harbor Church of God, 718 Peachblossom Avenue, Cambridge MD 21613. The Zeller Funeral Home in East New Market is handling the arrangements.
