Dover - Elda L. Wootten died August 9, 2014. Elda was born in Ocean View, Del. to William and Flossie Hudson Nuneville. She had spent over 42 years as a Hair Stylist and was extremely proud that she had been selected as State Champion earlier in her career. She was a kind and considerate person who was always cognizant of the feelings of others. She had been a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters and one brother. Elda leaves her loving husband, Robert O. Wootten, Sr. of Dover, Del.; son, Robert O. Wootten, Jr. and wife, Marta, of Dover, Del.; daughter, Renee M. Wootten of Dover, Del. and her special daughter, Kim Enss of Marydel, Del. She is also survived by two sisters, Helen Ferguson of Palm Bay, Fla., Anna Lynch of Franklinville, N.J.; one granddaughter, Tabitha Hawkins and one great-granddaughter, Morgan Hawkins both of Hartly, Del. Friends may call Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014 starting at 11 a.m. at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St. Dover where Services will be held at 1 p.m. Interment will be in the Garden of Honor at Sharon Hill Memorial Park, Dover. Family suggests donations in Elda's memory be made to St. Jude Children's Fund, 5700 Cleveland St. - Suite 325, Virginia Beach, VA 23462. Condolences may be made via www.ambruso.com
