FARMINGTON - Eileen Murray passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014 at the Genesis-Milford Center. She was born to the late Charles Vincent and Alice Rosenhauer. Mrs. Murray worked at the Harrington Raceway Casino, for over 13 years, as a supervisor of the food and beverage area. She loved her job very much, and her co-workers were her second family. She never hesitated to stay longer on her own time to help out whenever needed. Mrs. Murray was also the owner and operator of the Murrays Package Store for almost 20 years. In her free time, she enjoyed playing bingo. She was well known for her sassy and ornery personality who could be blunt at times, but still a true giver. If you ever needed anything, she would be there for you. She was a member of the Farmington Fire Company Ladies Auxillary for many years. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael P. Murray; and brother, Timothy Rosenhauer. She is survived by her son, Vincent A. Murray Jr. of Farmington; daughter, Laura Rogers of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; brother, Charlie Rosenhauer of Westberry, N.Y.; and five grandchildren; and her best friend, Jan Leonardi of 30 years. Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at a later date at Hollywood Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Melvin Funeral Home, visit our website at www.melvinfuneralhome.com for further information, leave a letter of condolence, or to send flowers.
