De Shields, 81 ARNOLD, Md. - Effie (Burton) De Shields age 81 passed away on May 25, 2014 at her home in Arnold, Md. She is survived by her husband, Retired Colonel William A. De Shields; a daughter and her husband, Mrs. Denise and Will Hardy; a son and his wife, Drs. Dennis and Mary De Shields; nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Funeral service will be 11 a.m., June 2, 2014 at the Asbury Broadneck UMC, 657 Broadneck Rd, Annapolis, Md. Viewing will be at 10 a.m. Internment will be at Arlington National Cemetery.
