Edward Vinton Lowe

SALISBURY - Edward Vinton Lowe, 64, of Salisbury, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at his residence. Born in Washington D.C., he was the son of the late Gordon Walton Lowe and Mary Louise Sanford Lowe and brother of the late Edna Mae Trout. He was a US Army veteran and a member of VFW and American Legion. He worked as a carpenter for various employers over the years. He had an ornery sense of humor and loved all sports. Edward is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Sandra Marie Evans Lowe; six children; numerous grandchildren; two great grandchildren; five brothers, James Lowe (Dee) of Westminster, Lonnie Lowe of Jonesville, Va., John Lowe (Judy) of Myersville, Richard Lowe (Cindy) of Marion, S.C. and Melvin Lowe (Patty) of Rockville; two sisters, Peggy Cook (Curtis) of Front Royal, Va. and Mary Coleman (Buck) of Crisfield; and an aunt, Edna Kula (Nelson) of Bethany Beach, Del. A memorial service with military honors were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 11, 2014 at the Marion Baptist Church, 5833 Crisfield Highway, Marion, MD 21838 with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Jerry Hughes and Rev. Joe Barnes officiated. Contributions may be made in his memory to the St. Jude's Children Hospital.
