DOVER - Edward R. Husfelt, passed away Friday, Sept. 14, 2012 in the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, surrounded by his loving family. Ed was born on Dec. 15, 1951 in Dover, Del., son of the late Ruth (Clark) and Harry C. Husfelt, Sr. He was grounds manager for Sharon Hills Memorial Park and Odd Fellows Cemetery for the last 32 years until his illness. Ed enjoyed playing cards, going to yard sales, auctions, collecting antiques and was a diehard New York Yankees fan. He also enjoyed coaching his son in Little League. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Florence Hartnett Husfelt; a son Rob Husfelt and girlfriend Deanna Dunning of Hartly; brothers Clayton Husfelt and his wife Karen of Tucson, AZ; and Donnie Husfelt and Connie Dulin of Centreville, Md; brothers and sisters-in-law Bonnie and Ricky Millman of Felton, Jack and Kim Hartnett of Dover, Robin Hartnett-Sterner and Dan Sterner of Felton; aunts and uncles Betty Clark, Jimmy and Drew Clark, Francis Clark, Louise Puckett and Robert and Karen Husfelt; nieces Amanda Jarman and Samantha Jarman; nephews Eric Husfelt and Justin Hartnett; special dogs Holly and Brandi and an extended family and special friends. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Avenue., Wyoming. Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover. The family would like to thank everyone that helped with Ed's care over the last two years and especially the staff at Delaware Hospice Center, Milford.
