GREENWOOD - Edward J. Henry passed away on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012 at home. Edward was born in Philadelphia, Pa., the son of the late John and Agnes (Martin) Henry. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army 101st Airborne serving during the Vietnam War. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. He was a member of the Greenwood V.F.W. He enjoyed fishing, golf, riding horses and especially attending his children's games. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Linda Eby Henry; two children, Edward J. Henry, Jr. of Greenwood and Beth Taylor of Calif.; two brothers, Jack and Jim Henry of Pa.; and a grandson, Dylan Henry. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012 at 11 a.m in the chapel of the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, De. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Purple Heart, C/O James Sabinn, 411 Amberly Court, Millsboro, DE 19966. Arrangements handled by Short Funeral Services, Georgetown, De.
