Edith was born on a farm near Harbeson, the eldest child of Sheridan and Leta (Stewart) Warrington. Upon graduation from Georgetown High School, Edith worked for Georgetown Lumber Company, as well as Megee Motors. Sussex County was her home for more than 100 years. She had been a member of the Wesley U.M. Church in Georgetown for more than 70 years. Edith was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who loved her grandsons; especially her great grandsons. Edith is survived by her daughter, Margaret Russell Lopatka and husband Tony; three grandsons, Russ and wife, Jen, Brian and wife, Sarah and Matt and wife, Denise; and two great grandsons, Easton and Griffin Lopatka. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 4, 2013 in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market Street, Georgetown. Burial will immediately follow at Harbeson Cemetery.
