SALISBURY - Edith Mae Watt, 84, of Salisbury, died Monday, July 11, 2016, at the Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Born in Logansport, La., she was the daughter of the late William Minor Windham and Monta Sudie Kilcrease Windham. She worked as an administrative assistant for many years at the U.S. Army National Guard in Have de Grace, Md., retiring in 1994. After moving to Salisbury in 1996, she became a member of the Allen Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoyed working in the Church library and also volunteering at the Little Sisters of Jesus and Mary. She is survived by a daughter, Susan Elizabeth Wilson of Salisbury; five siblings, Mary Louise Hooper and Maude Marie Foster, both of Shreveport, La., JoNell Stewart of Baton Rouge La., William Lamar Windham of Chula Vista, Calif., and LouElla Gates of Carthage, Texas. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, John Anthony Watt. A funeral service was held Monday, July 18, 2016, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Interment was in Parsons Cemetery in Salisbury.
