Edith M. 'Granny' 'Goose' Roth, 93
DOVER - Edith M. "Granny" "Goose" Roth, of Dover, died Saturday, April 5, 2008, at Capital Health Care Center, Dover. Her age was 93.
Mrs. Roth was born June 3, 1914, in Isabel, Ill., to William and Effie (Skelton) Craig.
Mrs. Roth had lived in Albuquerque, N.M., from 1950 until 1977, at which time she moved to Dover.
She was a lifelong active member of the Republican Party and was a member of the Dover Modern Maturity Center.
A dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Mrs. Roth was especially fond of the many moments spent cooking for her family and friends.
She remained an active and outgoing person throughout her life and will be greatly missed by those whose lives she embraced.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth E. Roth, in 1976.
Mrs. Roth is survived by three daughters, Marion R. Klein of Smyrna, Sharon Roth of Glendale, Wis., and Virginia Brannan of Rio Rancho, N.M.; two grandchildren, Traci Kasten and Erin Brannan; and two great-grandchildren, Emily Kasten and Cody Kasten.
Friends may call Wednesday from 11 a.m. until noon at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St., Dover.
Graveside committal services will be private and take place in Albuquerque.
The family suggests donations in her memory to the Roy Klein Education Foundation, 435 N. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
