CLAYTON - Dwayne A. "Turk" Turek passed away at home on May 7, 2015. Turk was born April 17, 1964 in Dover, the son of Anthony Turek of Zephyrhills, Fla. and Joan Ferguson of Smyrna. He worked for many years in the motorcycle industry, working for Diamond Motor Sports of Camden, and most recently for Powersports East, formerly Honda East of Bear, prior to his stroke in November 2011. Turk also owned his own motorcycle shop, Turk's Cycle Wurks in Smyrna. His passion was motorcycles (riding, especially The Dragon, working on them and teaching riding safety, etc.), guns and video games. But most of all Turk loved his family, spending time and traveling with them. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kelli; his sister, Debbie Turek; and his step-father George Ferguson. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving, caring and supportive wife, Kelly; his beautiful daughter, Adara; three step-sons, Justin, Ben and Kyle Hampton; his brother, David (Rose) of Wilmington, and his children, Amber, David and Brandy; his mother and father-in-law, Kenzel (his loving care provider) and Gene Messick of Odessa; his sister and brother-in-law, Jolene and Jammie Gottleib and their children, Morgan and Abby of Millington, MD; his sister-in-law, Angel Wharff and brother-in-law, Jim Wharff and their children, Andrew and Erika of Clayton; his first mother-in-law, Linda Colyer of Clayton; and a host of other family and friends. A viewing will be held on Monday, May 11, 2015 from 6-9 pm and on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 11 am in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St. in Smyrna. Funeral services will begin at 12 pm on Tuesday. Burial will follow at Old Drawyers Cemetery in Odessa.
