DOVER — The Delaware State Police have identified Javon D. Jones, 23, of Dover, as the person who died during a shooting Friday in the Rodney Village area.
DSP said that at 5:42 p.m., troopers responded to Uplift Barber Shop at 1534 Governors Ave. after shots were fired. An investigation determined that Mr. Jones was a patron in the barbershop when an unknown male suspect entered the business and fired multiple shots at him. Mr. Jones was struck in the upper torso, and the suspect fled on foot, DSP said.
Mr. Jones was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
