Drug charges follow Dover traffic stop

DOVER — A 39-year-old woman was arrested on drug charges following a Tuesday afternoon traffic stop, Dover police spokesman Sgt. Mark Hoffman said.

Police said that at approximately 12:51 p.m., officers saw a vehicle operated by Tanesha Milbourne conduct a drug transaction on South New Street. Officers stopped the vehicle and contacted Ms. Milbourne, who was also wanted on a capias warrant, police said.

A vehicle search led to the discovery of 12.3 grams of marijuana packaged for sale, two doses of MDMA, and $695 in drug proceeds. Ms. Milbourne was further searched at the police department and police said she was found with 20 bags of heroin and 3.6 grams of crack cocaine.

Ms. Milbourne was charged with possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, tampering with physical evidence, drug paraphernalia, possession of MDMA, possession of heroin, driving while suspended (license), and local fugitive. She was released on an own recognizance bond.
