DOVER — Delmarva infrastructure contractor George & Lynch recently honored some staff for their commitment at the firm’s annual employee safety meeting.

Company leaders presented the 2021 Construction and Safety Awards, along with recognitions for years of service. Those honored for their time with G&L accounted for a combined 530 years of employment.

G&L also inducted two into its Quarter Century Club. Donald Eastburn of Clayton and Kenneth Johnson of Dover have each worked for the contractor for 25 years.

The gathering was the company’s 40th annual safety meeting. Safety regarding trenching and excavation, two of the business’s primary services, were discussed.

Attendees also received anti-harassment training and were updated on this year’s construction season and on the equal-opportunity employment policy.

Other topics included the G&L wellness program, 401(k) information and the stock-ownership plan.

George & Lynch, founded in 1923, employs more than 360 people and is headquartered in Dover.
