DOVER — Two males were arrested on firearms charges Wednesday afternoon after police received a report of shots being fired in the 800 block of West North Street/area of Simon Circle, authorities said.
After responding to the area upon receiving multiple calls reporting shots fired, officers reviewed surveillance footage and were able to identify a residence that the suspect or suspects fled into, according to Dover police spokesman Sgt. Mark Hoffman. After obtaining a search warrant, officers called the occupants of the home outside and took them into custody without incident.
A search of the home led to the recovery of two handguns inside the residence, police said.
Kaharri Jackson, 19, was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, first-degree reckless endangering (three counts), and tampering with physical evidence.
A 15-year-old male was charged with possession of a firearm by person prohibited, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and tampering with physical evidence.
