DOVER — The Dover Police Department is investigating a residential burglary that occurred at approximately 3:26 a.m. Monday in the 100 block of Old Forge Drive.
According to Master Cpl. Ryan Schmid, a 31-year-old female woke up to a tall, slim male, wearing all black, standing in her bedroom doorway. The victim alerted her husband, who called 911 and left the residence with his wife and children to wait for police.
When officers arrived, Cpl. Schmid said, they checked the house for the suspect but were unable to locate him. It was determined that the suspect removed a cellphone and two laptops from the home before leaving.
There was no additional suspect information available Monday afternoon.
Authorities said the investigation is ongoing and asked anyone with information to call 302-736-7130. Callers may remain anonymous. Tips may also be submitted via Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333 or here; a cash reward is possible for information leading to an arrest.
