DOVER — A 33-year-old Dover man was shot to death Thursday, and a suspect is being sought, Delaware State Police said.
According to authorities, the victim was found dead in the driver’s seat of a vehicle on Senator Avenue by troopers who were called to the scene at approximately 3:50 p.m.
An investigation determined that an unknown suspect entered the back seat of the car and engaged in a conversation with the victim before demanding his property, police said. During the encounter, DSP added, the man in the driver's seat was shot in the upper torso.
The suspect then fled in an unknown direction, police said.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and identification is pending notification of kin.
There was no suspect information available Friday morning.
