DOVER — Delaware State Police is investigating the armed robbery of a man that occurred near the entrance of one of the Generals Greene apartment buildings early Saturday morning.

According to police, at around 4 a.m. Saturday a 46-year-old Dover man was in the 2000 block of Lemay Lane, preparing to enter one of the apartment buildings. Before he unlocked the complex door, two suspects allegedly grabbed him and displayed a knife. They forcibly removed the victim’s wallet, police said, and then fled in an unknown direction. The victim was not injured.

Police describe the suspects as two black males about 5 feet 5 inches to 6 feet tall. Both were thin, with cornrow-style hair and wearing dark clothing. One of the suspects allegedly was armed with a knife.
