DOVER — A Dover man was indicted on 14 counts Monday in connection with an alleged high speed chase that ended with his vehicle crashing last year and causing injury, according to court documents.

Devon G. Walker was 21 years old when arrested on Nov. 14, 2017. A passenger in his vehicle suffered a forehead laceration requiring stitches or staples and possibly a concussion and/or skull fracture, Delaware State Police alleged in an arrest affidavit.

Indicted charges included carrying a concealed deadly weapon (firearm), first-degree vehicular assault, first-degree assault, attempt to flee or elude, resisting arrest, possession of a firearm while under the influence, aggressive driving, DUI of alcohol and/or drugs, failure to have required insurance, failure to transfer title and registration, improper lane change, seat belt violation, unreasonable speed and no turn signal.

Police said Mr. Walker’s Blazer crashed as it turned onto Royal Grant way, hit a Dover Electric box and slammed into a tree.
