DOVER — A 30-year-old Dover man was arrested Tuesday in connection with an Aug. 8, 2021, shooting at a Royal Farms, Dover police spokesman Sgt. Mark Hoffman said.
After turning himself in to police, Dion Williams was charged with first-degree assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, carrying a concealed deadly weapon and second-degree conspiracy. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution, Georgetown, on a $142,000 cash bond.
Police said the incident occurred at approximately 1:59 a.m., when an individual was shot inside the store at 295 S. DuPont Highway during a fight between two men.
