Dover Century Club honors members for service

DOVER — The Dover Century Club recently honored members for their valuable contributions and years of volunteer service to the community.

Among those recognized were Linda Dougherty, five years; Pam Watkins, five years; Bernice Swierzbvinski, five years; Beverly Hulik, 11 years; Mary Emma Tisinger, 35 years; and Nancy Culver, 41 years.

The Dover Century Club is celebrating its 124th year of community service and invites women interested in joining the club to call 674-3775.

The club is a member of the Delaware State Federation of Women’s Clubs and the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, the world’s largest and oldest nonpartisan, nondenominational women’s volunteer service organization.

Founded in 1897, the Dover Century Club is dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others.
