DOVER — A 21-year-old woman was killed after a single car crash on Division Street Friday night.
A black 2019 Nissan Altima was traveling eastbound, approaching the intersection of NE Kings Highway and Park Drive at approximately 7:44 p.m. The vehicle crossed the center line, struck a traffic island and then hit a traffic signal pole at the northeast corner of the intersection, Dover police spokesman Sgt. Mark Hoffman said.
The 21-year-old woman was a passenger. The 20-year-old male driver was not injured but Sgt. Hoffman said he is being evaluated for a possible medical condition/incident.
Sgt. Hoffman added the cause of the crash is unknown and pending further testing and investigation. He said updates will be provided as available.
