Douglas Alan Harris, Sr. passed away Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012. He is survived by his previous wife, Joan Simmons; daughters, Katie Gearinger, Sherri Leslie, Laurie Logan, Evelyn May Liddicoat and Patricia Cannon; two sons, Douglas A. Harris, Jr. and Alan Dwayne Harris; a granddaughter and great-grandson. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 26 at the Middletown VFW Post 3792, 5695 Summit Bridge Road, near Townsend, where a memorial service will begin at 8 p.m. Interment will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 29, 2012 at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE.
