Abbott, 95 HARRINGTON - Dorothy Reynolds Abbott died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012 at The Milford Center. Mrs. Abbott was born in Milford, the daughter of the late William and Nettie (Lofland) Reynolds. She was a devoted homemaker and housewife who enjoyed cooking, keeping house and taking care of her family. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Harrington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, John F. Abbott, Jr., in 1989; a son, William H. Abbott, in 1991 and a grandson, Billy Abbott, in 1999. She is survived by her son, John F. Abbott IV and his wife Paula of Virginia Beach, Va.; two granddaughters, Jaime Parker of Harrington and Ashley Armstrong of Gaithersburg, Md.; and three great grandchildren, Seth Parker, Haydan Parker and Katelyn Armstrong. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012 at the McKnatt, Carpenter & Baker Funeral Home, 50 Commerce Street, Harrington where friends may call after 10 am. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Milford-Harrington Highway, Harrington. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the Asbury United Methodist Church, 200 Weiner Avenue, Harrington, DE 19952.
