Dorothy "Joan" McTighe, 74

DOVER - Dorothy "Joan" McTighe of Dover died Tuesday, May 22, 2007, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 74.

She was born Feb. 25, 1933, in New York City, daughter of the late Thomas and Helen (Fisher) Coleman.

Joan was a homemaker.

She enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles.

Joan was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Dover.

She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, John McTighe; a son, Sean McTighe of Long Island, N.Y.; a daughter, Megan McCaskill and her husband Kevin of Levittown, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Nicholas McTighe, Luke McTighe, Ryan McTighe and Emily Grace McCaskill; and two sisters, Marian Cinque and Eleanor Rusiecki, both of New York.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:15 a.m. Friday in St. James Catholic Church, 80 Hicksville Road, Seaford, N.Y. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery.

A memorial mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State St., Dover. A reception will follow.

The family requests no flowers, but suggests donations to one of Joan"s favorite charities, LaSalle Provincialate Development Office, DeLaSalle Christian Brothers, P.O. Box 238, Lincroft, NJ 07738-0238; or The Shepherd Place, 1362 S. Governors Ave., Dover, DE 19904.

Arrangements are by Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming.
