DOVER - Dorothy May Chadwick, of Dover, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 21, 2011, surrounded by her loving daughters, her nieces, Glenna and Julie and a special friend, Judy Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Chadwick in 1999. 'Dottie' had a very giving and loving heart for her family and friends. She loved her children, but she REALLY loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was very much looking forward to Chelsea's baby being born in January. She was an excellent cook and loved to make big family dinners and have everyone come over. She prepared for Christmas all year and enjoyed the Holiday so much that she kept a decorated tree up all year long! Every year she looked forward to her week-long vacation at Taylor's Island with Pam. She also enjoyed baking, making crafts, feeding the birds, gardening and was a professional shopper. Mrs. Chadwick is survived by her three daughters and their husbands, Diane & John Hinkel of Milford, Kathi & Ralph Artigliere of Wyoming, Pam & Jimmy Boone of Harrington; her son, Robert Chadwick of Felton, 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two special nieces, Sandy Smith of Camden and Ruthann Smith of Sequin, Texas. Private services for immediate family members were held at Pippin Funeral Home on Sunday, October 23, 2011, and concluded with burial at Barratt's Chapel Cemetery in Frederica. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Kent County SPCA, 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, DE 19934. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com
