TOWNSEND - Dorothy "Dot" Smith, 74, of Townsend, passed away Feb. 27, 2012. Survived by her husband, Smokey Smith; son, Chuck Smith; daughter, JoAnna Sheats; mother, Frances Hitchens; brother, Michael Hitchens and two granddaughters. Funeral services are 11 a.m., Monday, March 5 at Immanuel United Methodist Church, 209 W. Main St in Townsend. Interment will be in Townsend Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Sunday, March 4, at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown. Contributions can be made to Immanuel UMC, P.O.
