Dorothy E. Siver, 77

DOVER - Dorothy E. Siver of Dover died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007. She was 77.

Mrs. Siver was born March 2, 1930, in Langhorne, Pa., to the late Joseph M. and Margaret E. (Hitchens) DeVaul.

Mrs. Siver was a devoted wife and a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was a member of the Cheswold United Methodist Church, and she volunteered for the First Baptist Church in Dover.

Mrs. Siver was also a member of the Modern Maturity Center in Dover, where she volunteered at the reception desk.

She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, needle point, crafting, gardening, bird watching, traveling, cooking and baking.

Mrs. Siver liked caring for and visiting with those in need.

She will be remembered by those whom she touched for her generous and caring nature.

Mrs. Siver was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin G. Siver, on May 14, 1995.

She is survived by her two sons, Edwin Siver Jr. and his wife Susan, of Hatboro, Pa., and Harold Siver and his wife Melissa, of Gilbertsville, Pa.; her daughter, Ruth Ann Ray and her husband Donald, of Arlington, Texas; six grandchildren, Lt. Jason Ray USN, Brian Ray, Adam Siver, Katie Knoll, Victoria Sell, Veronica Oelschlager; and two great-grandchildren, Jada and Jack Ray.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover.

Friends may call from 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720.
