Dorothy E. Mullane

Mullane (Errickson), 78 FREDERICA - Dorothy (Dot) E. Mullane (Errickson) departed this life on Saturday, Nov 14th after a lengthy illness at her home. She was born in Point Pleasant, N.J. to the late, Willard J. Errickson and Margaret G. Errickson (Joyce). She was raised in Browns Mills, N.J., and was not hesitant to call herself a Jersey Girl. She enjoyed any type of crafting but especially sewing, knitting, and crocheting. Her greatest love however was her family. She was well known as a Mother that was involved in everything her kids did. She was always available when help was needed by any team or organization her kids were involved in. Until her health began to fail, she was active in The Order of the Eastern Star serving in many local and state capacities. She was also a proud charter member of the Spring Creek Lions Club. She was a lifelong member of Browns Mills United Methodist Church and was also a member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Frederica. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, MSGT (ret) Robert J Mullane, brother, Willard J Errickson Jr, and a niece Christina Louise Errickson. She is survived by daughters, Margaret S. Mullane of Milford Del., Patricia A. Parker formerly of Browns Mills, N.J., and a son, Robert J. Mullane Jr. of Salisbury Md.; five grandchildren, Adam Parker (Alesha) of Browns Mills, N.J., Cory Parker of North Bergen, N.J., Chelsey Sage (Jarel) of Kansas City, Mo., Bridget Mullane of Milford, and Trevor Mullane of Dover; four great-grandchildren, Sean and Tyler Parker of Browns Mills, N.J. and Parker and Archer Sage of Kansas City, Mo. She is also survived by beloved cousins Joe and Nancy Love of Point Pleasant, N.J. and Joyce Dunn of Odenville, Ala. and her Errickson nieces and their families, Cathy Hildebrand (Harvey) of Indianapolis, Carol Bolton (Paul) of Franklinville N.J., Cindy Butcher (Ray) of Provo Utah, Cheryl Younessian (Alex) of Ramona, Calif. and Conni Miller (Michael) of Greencastle Pa. and sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Mullane of N.J., Diane Berger of Ariz. and Grace Scutellaro of NJ and their families and nephew Joe Ford and family of N.J. She is also survived by her beloved pets Dinky and Princess. She looked forward to the time when Ali Fleming of Dover would join her family thru marriage to Trevor. Services will be Friday, Nov. 20, at 11 a.m., at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington. A visitation will be Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will follow at the Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Millsboro. Arrangements are by the Thomas E.
