Doris V. Kowalski

BRIDGEVILLE - Doris V. Kowalski, of Bridgeville, Del., passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, Del. She was born in Baltimore, Md., on June 2, 1920, daughter of the late Archibald and Caroline (Brandt) Johnson. Mrs. Kowalski was a woman of faith who was a dedicated parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes in Seaford, Del. She enjoyed participating at her church with flea markets, visiting hospitals and other church related activities. Mrs. Kowalski enjoyed an 18 year career with Our Lady of Hope School in Baltimore, Md., retiring as a Cafeteria Manager. Throughout her life, she enjoyed crocheting and counted cross stitch. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kowalski was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Francis Kowalski in 1991. She is survived by her son, Michael J. Kowalski and his wife Janice of Baltimore, Md.; two daughters, Kathleen Neal of Bridgeville, Del. and Lynn Kowalski of Baltimore, Md.; seven grandchildren, Christopher, Kevin, Shane, Steamer, Joseph, Farrah and Amanda; and 15 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015, at 2:00 p.m., at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville, DE 19933, where friends may visit beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Kowalski's memory to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
