CHURCH CREEK - Doris Ramona Phillips, 76, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2006.

She was born in Hooper Island on June 15, 1930, and was a daughter of the late Gorman and Ruth Tyler Simmons.

Mrs. Phillips graduated from Hooper Island High School. On Dec. 27, 1951, she married Gilbert L. Phillips who passed away on Oct. 4, 2003. She worked on the water with her husband and was also a homemaker.

Mrs. Phillips is survived by two sisters, Olive Harper of Cambridge and Eileen Short of Delaware and friends, Leroy and Cindy Bell of Church Creek.

Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Victor Simmons and a sister, Ruth James.

Services will be private.

Arrangements are in the care of Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
