Doris Marie Bose

MARYDEL - Doris Marie Bose of Marydel, DE passed away Sunday Feb. 10, 2013 at Kent General Hospital. Mrs. Bose was born July 5, 1942 in Marydel, De to the late Sampson Feyl and Olive Marie Tingle Feyl. She was a homemaker and had served 4 years as the Eastern District President of United Methodist Women. She had also served 20 years as a Sunday school teacher at Calvary United Methodist Church in Marydel. In 1990 she became the coordinator of Wesley United Methodist Church's clothing closet, for 7 years. She enjoyed reading and sewing. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Benjamin Feyl; and brother in law, Bob Golden. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Norval "Sonny" Bose of Dover; sons, Donald G. Bose and his wife Dianna of Marydel, Del., David Bose and his wife Robyn of Camden, Del.; daughter, Joanne B. Pendry and her husband Jeff of Springfield, Va.; brother, Edward Feyl and his wife Jane of Pa.; sisters, Barbara Spicher and her husband Jim of Greensboro, Md., Kathy Conner and her husband John of Glasgow, Del., Nancy Chavkin and her husband Allan of San Marcos, Texas, Mary Golden of Helena, Mont.; grandchildren, Jennifer Honaker, Jason Bose, Catherine and Riley Pendry; great grandchildren, James, Jonathan and Jeremy Honaker. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10). Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Templeville Cemetery, Templeville, Md. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Wesley Church Clothing Closet, 209 S. State Street, Dover, DE 19901.
